Missed out on the fun and fireworks in Downtown Victoria? I gotchu!

If you were one of the tens of thousands spending your Canada Day with us in Downtown Victoria, I can't thank you enough! The energy from that crowd certainly made that the most memorable set I've ever spun. If you couldn't make it out and are curious to see how the set looked, I'm more than happy to share that with you here!
I'm so incredibly grateful to my percussionists (Mike Cooper and Diane Rivard) for joining me and adding a ton of extra flavour to the set. Also a HUGE thanks to the amazing Jaxxee for her guest appearance during the set (no lie, when she first came to rehearsal and belted out Aretha's "Respect" I got pretty overwhelmed with emotion - I was so honoured to have her vocals grace a DJ set of mine).
FIREWORKS SHOW
A major convenience of having me headline this event is the fact that, ever year, I produce the musical soundtrack to the fireworks display. And with this year's fireworks show having the longest runtime since Canada 150, timing was an important element. So with that, I was able to mix right from the last song in my set into the fireworks soundtrack.
This, unfortunately gave me a not-so-great vantage point for the pyrotechnics. But thanks to my friend, Adam Lee, I got to see the whole thing sync'd to my soundtrack!
As far as audience sizes go, it's gonna be pretty tough for me to top this set. That said, it's never been about the size of the crowd I get to play for. I'm honestly just super thankful for such opportunities. The ability to share the music I love with others and see them smile, dance and have a wonderful time is the greatest opportunity I could have ever been given.
With that, I wanted to send a HUGE thank you to the City of Victoria and Rifflandia Entertainment for putting their trust in me to entertain our city on such a special occasion.
