I've got a FREE SHOW on Canada Day leading into Victoria's longest fireworks display

...and I'm bringing some friends on-stage with me!
Every year (since about 2012), I've produced the official soundtrack to Downtown Victoria's Canada Day Fireworks Display. This year I've done the same and I'm honoured for such a role. The only difference with this year's show...it's nearly twice the length of previous shows, making it the largest and longest fireworks display since Canada 150. And what I find to be an even BIGGER honour is that I've been tasked with setting the vibes and spinning an hour-long DJ set as a lead-in to the pyrotechnics!
To set this gig apart from other gigs, I've decided to add a few live elements to the show and bring a couple percussionist friends on stage with me. Local drummer, Mike Cooper (Illvis Freshly), and percussionist, Diane Rivard (known on-stage as Lady D), both join me to add a bit of flavour to the set.
Our set starts at 9:10pm but there will be an entire afternoon of free entertainment on the lawns of the B.C. Legislature (with yours truly also taking on the role of emcee). You'll find the main stage along the Menzies Street side of the lawn this year to maximize space for fun activations and (of course) fireworks viewing.
